Chapter 11 Return
Alena almost choked on her own saliva.
She thought, “My wonderful life has just begun, why would I remarry and become Braylen’s aunt–in–law?”
“Ally, why are you coughing all the time? Are you ill?”
Braylen looked confused, tilting his head.
Alena took two sips of water to calm herself down.
“No, I’m fine.”
Braylen became even more confused and asked, “What happened to you?”
Alena thought for a moment and asked earnestly, “I saved you on the plane. Does that count as a favor to you?”
Braylen nodded vigorously.
He wanted to repay Alena for the rest of his life.
“Ally, if you’re married to my uncle, I’ll take care of you.”
Alena almost couldn’t catch her breath from coughing this time.
It took her a while to calm down.
She caressed the top of Braylen’s head.
“Saving you was a piece of cake for me. I didn’t do it for something in return. I hope that you…”
She coughed twice, putting on a sad expression.
“I hope you don’t hurt me in return for my kindness.”
Braylen exclaimed, “Huh?” He couldn’t follow her.
He wondered, “Is it bad to marry my uncle?”
After a while, a serious expression appeared on Braylen’s face as if he had made a big decision.
“Then let me be your son so that we can always be together.”
Alena coughed harder. She voluntarily patted his shoulder.
“Brat, you’re really going all out with the shocking
Braylen grabbed her arm, pouting coquettishly.
“But I just want to be with you.”
Alena felt emotional to see him acting so affectionately.
statements today, aren’t you?”
She devoted herself to raising Gabriel for five years, but in the end, the child only wanted someone else to be his mother.
But Braylen had only spent one week with her, and he trusted her wholeheartedly and liked to follow her anywhere.
Perhaps, one couldn’t ask for a kinship that they weren’t meant to have.
“We can’t because I’m about to go back to our country.”
She studied here and Kolton provided a lot of help, which could be considered as repaying her saving Braylen’s life.
Alena believed that once she went back home, she and the Pembroke family would never cross paths again because she was from a different social class.
Braylen pouted, “Ally, you don’t like me, do you?“,

After speaking, he cried in grievance.
Alena couldn’t calm him down, so she took a brooch from her clothing and pinned it on him. This brooch was made by herself. It was a cartoon version of a panda.
“Don’t cry. Look. I got this for you.”
Braylen stopped crying. He lowered his head and caressed the brooch.
“This is for you.
Braylen’s eyes instantly lit up.

“Let’s make a pinky promise.”
With a chuckle, Alena hooked his pinky finger onto hers. “Alright, let’s keep our promise.”
Kolton wasn’t around last night. Alena heard that Jerome had already been discharged from the hospital, and the two of them talked all night.
Alena had no interest in the affairs between these big shots.
She didn’t have Kolton’s contact information, so she sent a message to his assistant, explaining that she was leaving.
Alena was surprised to see Kolton and Braylen when she boarded the plane in the afternoon.
Braylen was dressed in a neat little suit, carrying a light gray crocodile design bag on his back. As soon as he saw her, he ran over and threw himself into her arms.
“Ally, I want to leave with you.”
Alena had already picked him

heard these words.
“Mr. Pembroke, I did not…”
She never thought about taking the child away from him.
Kolton was as indifferent and expressionless as usual.
“It was my decision.”
Alena was shocked.
“I don’t have time to look after him because I’ve been very busy lately. He’ll head home with you and I’m counting on you to look after him for a few days.”
He was not asking her opinion. It was an order that could not be refused.
“Mr. Pembroke, look…”
“I’ll pay you 5 million dollars for that.”
Alena hugged Braylen tightly, with a slight smile on her lips. “Talking about money is so impersonal. I love taking care of kids.”
Braylen clapped his hands happily and exclaimed, “Oh yeah!”
Kolton instructed someone to prepare a private plane and then said, “I’ll have professionals keep you safe back home.”
Alena asked boldly, “Mr. Pembroke, you said to have me take care of Braylen for a few days. How long will it be exactly?”
“It’s somewhere between half a month at least and one month at most.”
“Alright.”

Kolton probably thought she wasn’t mature enough, so he wrote down a phone number for her.
“You can contact this person if you have any problems.”
Perhaps thinking of what Alena had said about “equality” before, he added, “He wouldn’t disturb you. You don’t have to worry.”
Alena carefully put it away.
This number given by the bit shot might be a great help at critical moments.
“Goodbye, Mr. Pembroke.”
Kolton nodded.
Braylen didn’t feel sad
all about leaving Kolton. He looked ecstatic as he held Alena.
“You seem like you want to get away from your uncle, don’t you?”
Alena didn’t dare to ask why Kolton entrusted her with the child. Given his high status, Kolton must have thought it through before making such a decision, there was no need to delve into it further.
Besides, she really liked Braylen.
Therefore, she didn’t refuse to take care of him.
so
“Some people look like regular folks, but they’re actually super powerful big bads,” Braylen muttered.
Alena didn’t understand him at first.
After a while, she realized that Braylen was unhappy with Kolton’s authoritarian behavior.
“Are you not afraid I’ll tell your uncle what you just said?”
Braylen immediately looked dejected.
He lowered his head.
“So, you’ve changed? You love my uncle but not me?”
It was terrifying that children just spoke their minds.
Alena covered his mouth in a fluster.
“You brat, if you dare to speak nonsense again, I’ll punish you.”
Braylen blinked his beautiful eyes.
He pried off her hand with both hands.
“So, I’m the one you love the most.”

He leaped up with joy, hugging her arm and swinging it back and forth.
The melancholy she felt about leaving had all been dissipated.
She smiled and picked up Braylen again, boarding the private plane.

After the plane landed, she took Braylen to the hospital.
Briana was quite pleased with her work report this time around because it was heavily focused on research.
“Take some time to write your papers. You’re really talented. You deserve to shine.”
Alena felt a little embarrassed.
“But my methods are a mix of traditional and modern medicine, and some are even my own creations. They haven’t been officially recognized internationally.”
Briana didn’t think so.

He said, “You saved lives, and this is solid evidence.”
Alena was instantly enlightened, and several ideas popped up in her head.
However, just as she was about to discuss the details further, she received a phone call from her colleague Sharon.
“Ally, come over here now! The little boy you brought got into a fight with another child.”
Alena felt a jolt.
