Chapter 40
Melissa
I stared at the book I was reading and used my hands to trace the exact line that had my sex twitching.
Did I mention that I got some relief from using the shower but it still wasn’t the real thing? Well, I just did now and frankly speaking, reading a smut book was only making me think of better ways to get a release.
“What about a dildo?” I asked myself. Well, that should work… it was the best option because now that I feel so sexually stimulated, I know I’ll be craving sex a lot more.
I leaned toward the table and grabbed my laptop. I went to my browser, quickly scrolling past different types of dildos that.
“Ouuu,” I mumbled with a grin when I saw a slightly bent stilettos dildo. It looked big enough and when I checked the description, it was eight inches.
My eyes looked down at the next one and it was slightly smaller than the first one and this one had a button for an automatic vibration and fuck yes, it was exactly what I needed.
I felt the sudden urge to make an order for it so I did. Filled up the whole form and smiled at how I was investing my money in my sex life.
I’ve never been this sexually active in all the years that I’ve been dating Ian and how everything changed in one night needs to be studied.
“Oh shit,” I blurted when I turned to the table side and found the yellow post note on the wall. Get groceries.
I hit my forehead gently and allowed my head to fall back for a second
“Of course I will,” I blurted feeling more lazy than anything but the realization that I had absolutely nothing to eat shot me to my feet.
I miss Ian for this–I would have just asked him to come pick me up and he would but it’s all different now. I don’t even want to get into his car.
Maybe I should get my own car but that’s going to be getting a want and not a necessity. I have a company card that allows me to use whatever transportation I want and I think that’s one of the perks of working at Hillstate.
I exhaled audibly as I took a hoodie from my wardrobe and a jogger to match it. I’ve missed this–wearing my casual clothes every day without stress but now, I have to dress formally and quite high–toned not just because I’m Marcus‘ secretary but because I’m also trying to impress him.
I figured being at the grocery shop was also a good opportunity to get a few other things like stopping at the next pharmacy to get birth control pills.
I’m not thinking of having sex with anyone–no, not yet but I’m an adult and I should always have important things like this at all times.
I held the cart picking various things because I felt like it and most importantly, because I could afford them. I finally know what it feels like for rich people when they go shopping and come back with even things they don’t need.
I’m not exactly rich but I have x4 of what I did before this job. Thanks to my salary and the habit of saving for bad days. “Here,” I told the cashier and handed her my card. She got everything packaged and handed me about three bags.
“Thanks,” I muttered and turned to leave. The bags felt a little heavy but I brushed it off. I needed to get an Uber but first, next on my list is—
Chapter 40
“Look who it is
Oh shit, Nate Bisley.
He raked his hands through his hair. “Never thought you did some shopping”
“What do you mean, Nate?”
“Figured you’re dating the son of a wealthy man. Should be some maids or something doing this.”
I didn’t even bother to restrain my eye roll. I rolled my eyes at him and licked my dried lips.
“You look even hotter in casual outfits. How ironic.”
“Nate you should fuck off.”
“How about you replace off with me? I would gladly do so.”
I frowned when I realized what that meant. Oh shit, that was hard. “You are just a jerk, I told him. “How about you be a jerk only at work? You know don’t have any policy stopping me from hitting you, huh?”
He laughed, revealing his beautiful dentition. I know I mentioned Nate was a full–blown jerk but he was so handsome in his
own way.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me-” I blurted, gently pushing him out of my way.
Not so quick,” he responded. “What do you say about lunch? We can make it dinner too, and maybe a massage to follow, hm?”
Fuck, I hate how Nate goes straight to the point all the time and never hides that he’s imagining what I look like without the hoodies.
“We could just stick with Lunch knowing a dinner would hurt your boyfriend’s ego.” He said that with a grin and Just as I paused to think about it, I noticed a figure walking toward us and it didn’t take long until he was standing right between us.
“Ian,” I blurted the moment my lips parted.
“Melissa,” he responded, obviously pissed at the close range. I looked at Nate and he had his annoying smirk tugged on his face. The type of smirk that makes me know what he wants to say is speak of the devil.
“You’re done, let’s head home.”
Just like that. He didn’t even acknowledge Nate standing there and he didn’t ask if I was done either. Well, good thing he took the bags from my hands cause they were beginning to hurt.
“Ian, this is-
“Melissa, move to the car,” he ordered and I frowned.
“See you at work!” Nate grinned, obviously trying to get lan pissed. I moved because I sure as hell didn’t want to separate fights between two men that I’m uninterested in.
Can you even imagine that?
